Taking Stock / 3

Christmas 2016

Making: myself write on my lunch break. Nothing is ready to publish yet, so this will have to do in the meantime.
Cooking: not much lately, lots of Seamless though!
Drinking: all the coffee.
Reading: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn... again.
Wanting: a way for people to go back in time, so bad decisions can be undone.
Looking: at my messy classroom... :-/ the custodians moved everything around during break!
Playing: Scattergories!
Wasting: my lunch by giving it to a student... not hungry anyway.
Wishing: and hoping that I can figure out this life of mine.
Enjoying: seeing my kiddos again after winter break (for now).
Waiting: for 4pm.
Opening: my eyes to the beauty and wonder of this city... sometimes I take it for granted.
Giggling: at my students, constantly discussing Donald Trump's hairline.
Liking: that today has been a relatively easy day.
Wondering: when this cold is going to go away... aaaaand I just coughed as I wrote that.
Loving: that my cousin Hayley came to visit me last weekend!
Hoping: for some good news at work.
Marveling: at the fact that I'm teaching on one hour of sleep.
Needing: SLEEP.
Smelling: lunch.
Bookmarking: all teacher stuff, like always.
Wearing: my favorite H&M dress.
Following: lots of new bloggers on Instagram that I'll probably unfollow within the week when I get annoyed.
Noticing: that life never turns out the way you expect.
Knowing: that no matter what happens in my life, I have the most loyal family and friends on my side.
Thinking: about what I'm going to teach this afternoon.
Feeling: exhausted (physically and mentally), but also- okay.
